      Unfortunately I'm not sure of the current version of the game as I don't currently play it or have it installed. What store did you buy the game from?  (Steam, Rockstar website, somewhere else?)  (You might ask about the current version on the Steam store discussion page for RDR2)  Are you trying to play with mods or just vanilla?  If vanilla version I would first verify the game files and after re-install the game if its still not working once the files are verified correctly.       Thx for the answer. However, my game is not launching if I don't delete vfs.asi and version.dll - which are absolutely necessary to play with mods. My game version is 1436.28 - is this an older version? Do I need to upgrade the game?

      I'm not an expert on this mod but have used it for freeroaming after the main story quest was completed. I would imagine it affects the original story plot and perhaps the game file but I've only used it with a completed clean save.  This mod changes Armadillo quite a bit from the original singleplayer story version.  And a friendly reminder, don't forget to backup your game when modding.
