  1. You can't change the text "Riding" to "Race" or the coat color because this is set via a script, and we can't edit scripts. You CAN replace the text itself through a strings file, but doing so will affect every single horse that also uses that same text (i.e if you change the text "Arabian" you will be changing the text for every single Arabian). For the voice, you'll need a Metapeds.ymt file and from there you can navigate to the <AnimalAudioObject> for the Ardennes and from there you can copy that section from the Ardennes over to whatever horse you're looking to change.
  2. RGB = Rose Gray Bay. Download Rampage Trainer as the page instructs, open up the menu with F5 and click on the following: Spawner --> Ped Spawner --> Horses --> Arabian --> Rose Grey Bay In that order, and the horse should be spawned in.
  3. Just spawn in the RGB Arabian with Rampage Trainer, that's the easiest and most solid way
  4. Just found a new bug with the mod: In Pouring Forth Oil IV, if the radar is removed the game doesn't know what to do on the ride so it spawns the train early, which fails the mission. It also crashes later in the mission during the shootout with the law
  5. I'm sure there's plenty of people in the community that are curious about implementing new horses into the game, so here's a general overview as to how you would go about doing that. Note that this isn't meant to be a YMT or file editing tutorial, but rather just a general explanation of how implementing horses into the game would be done properly. Let me know if you have any questions about this! Note: If the image doesn't load for you, click here.
  6. Version.dll only breaks one particular story mission in the epilogue and a single duelist encounter, you should try using Rampage Trainer though afaik it's better than this in every way
  7. This occurs when you don't have the requirements for the mod installed correctly (Specifically because you need Online Content Unlocker OR Version.dll)
  8. Yes, it's true that Super Ultimate Horse Mod adds in a small handful of horses via catalog_sp. This is because these very specific horses were already defined in the base game scripts (which as I mentioned, can't be edited) and just went unused in the final game, all they needed were catalog entries. Sorry I'm so late replying lol I don't know why I didn't get a notification on this thread
  9. It's probably one of your ASI mods causing the problem but JMRP and Whyem's are not compatible as they edit the same files. You have to choose one or the other
  10. We can't edit the game scripts at this moment in time. If the horse isn't in the scripts, your save will be corrupted upon saving the horse as your own. It's as simple as that
  11. I was already aware prior that any horse not in the scripts and catalog_sp has the effect of what seems to be permanently deleting slots in your stable and can overwrite your primary horse with a chestnut tennessee walker, so when I saw the black chestnut thoroughbred spawned in the mod I immediately took the horse from the bandits and rode to the stables and was able to verify that the slot was gone after stabling the horse.
  12. Important Note for anyone using this mod: This mod adds the Black Chestnut Thoroughbred from RDO as one of the horses that the gang members ride around on, which you were never intended to be able to have in story mode. Do NOT ride or stable this horse or your save WILL BE corrupted
  13. Does this mod include the RDO Sorrel Breton seen in the thumbnail? I was just curious because I know this mod has been updated a ton since then and I'm sure you're already aware but all the horses from RDO can corrupt your save if you try to keep them
  14. There's a major bug with either this or scripthook that's been bothering me ever since I started modding... For some reason, if my monitor turns off and then back on again (which happens often) while the game is running it starts running my computer hard (causing the fans to go crazy) until I pause and unpause the game. This isn't an issue without mods and seems like an unintentional thing that really makes it annoying to use and makes me concerned about potential damage to the hardware on my PC, not sure if anybody else has experienced this but if it is a common issue it'd be great to see it resolved.
  15. For the main mod all you gotta do is unzip the file and drop the main folder inside of your LML folder. If you want to use the Individual Files but don't have the base mod you'll need to drop the Textures folder into LML and from there you'll just drop any ymts you want to use into your stream folder.
  16. If you want to use SRGB format you're going to have to use Codex. There's no way around that
  17. Ensure you have the latest version of the mod before reporting any bugs

Fixes 1907 John without editing any big files like shop_items or catalog_sp Are you tired of mods that fix John but have a bunch of other files or try to make him more "RDR Accurate"? Tired of searching through mods trying to get the perfect 1907 John since Rockstar undoubtedly broke him? Look no further, this is the mod for you: Features - 1.00 face textures - 1.00 pants and gloves - Fixed Rachel's nose texture and color to be accurate to real life - Shouldn't conflict with any other mods! - NPC head model for John with a tutorial to fix the neck seam If you would prefer to use his 1899 hair instead of 1907, use this lightweight mod and if you want his facial expressions to be better use the lightweight JMFAO Known Issues - Slight clipping on the 1.00 gloves and pants - When wearing the closed collar rancher shirt or the union suit (when underweight) alongside the torso models, there is a slight clipping issue. - The buzzed and bald haircuts do not work. Accuracy Issues - Sulkii has told me that the hair he's using has the wrong consistency and that the left parted models you start the epilogue with are not physically possible, they've also said John would NOT have dyed his hair with ink or stolen an entire wagon of oranges at the orange orchard. I plan to give John better hair in version 1.1 of the mod - The head model and 1.00 face texture should be accurate to his NPC counterpart but won't be 100% accurate to RDR1, you can view this as a stylistic change on the part of the developers. - His clothing proportions won't be perfectly accurate since I wasn't able to integrate JMRE's system for that.
  18. I wasn't sure about it at first but this thread got me to start optimizing my Horse Overhaul mod alongside some other ones I had, and I'm finally starting to see a lot more wildlife again, along with passengers.. I'm sure some modders have worked hard to try and make their mods optimal but this is definitely something people ought to consider when making mods that could be optimized further.
  19. I believe you need to take the top and bottom tags (the UNK_MEMBERs) and leave them as is
  20. Is this still working for anybody? This used to be my favorite mod and now I can't even get the menu to show up
  21. You probably have a mod that edits the Perlino Andalusian's ymt, if you don't want to change/get rid of that mod you can always just delete ambientpedmodelsets
  22. It comes packaged in with the mod but getting rid of it is super simple, just delete the "HorseText" file
  23. Unzip the file with WinRAR and then drop the folder in your LML folder. You will need to have Lenny's Mod Loader, Scripthook, and Version.dll or Online Content Unlocker.

Looking for the best ambient horse mod out there? This might just be the mod for you! Features -I've added a hundred ambient horses (most of which have custom textures) that will be ridden in towns, missions, be seen in pastures, and spawn in the wild so you don't get tired of seeing the same horses over and over again, I wanted to make them unique but still blend in with the environment well. - I added around fifteen draft horses of various breeds including Mules, Friesians with a model by bolju, Percherons and more. - Gave all stable and gang horses unique coats, although you can easily use others in their place, and I recommend doing so if you end up wanting to use a horse from a different mod as your own. - The stat cards will simply say "Horse" instead of displaying incorrect breed and coat color information. - Most NPC horses will now be gelded, while wild and some special horses will remain stallions. This is all optional and not included in the lightweight version - I have worked hard to try and make this mod as bug free of an experience as possible, and will continue to fix any bugs that get reported within reason. - Foals now spawn in the world in pastures and in the wild; rarely. You also won't see non-wild horses in the wild and there are special wild variants that look thinner and have unkempt manes, although these parts of the mod are completely optional. - A few of the horses in the mod will have heterochromia. - Removed the shine effect applied to horses, if for some reason you prefer the shine delete the "ShineFix" folder. Big thanks to KristianD3 for making this part of the mod, go check out some of the mods made by them. - I have bigger plans for the future of this mod, so as always: stay tuned How To Install - For all of the files in this mod, excluding the Individual Files (see the file description for more details), simply find the folder that has an install.xml inside of it and drop that folder along with all of its contents into your "LML" folder and the mod should be installed. Conflicts - There are a handful of horse mods that edit the base game Vanilla horse textures, some of which are utilized by this mod. This might result in some horses looking a little different than how they were intended to, but may also be completely fine in most cases. - The main version of this mod edits ambientpedmodelsets in order to spawn foals and make it so only wild horses will spawn in the wild. You can fix this conflict by either following the merge tutorial included with the mod, downloading the Lightweight version of the mod, or deleting ambientpedmodelsets. Bugs Known Bugs: - Any horses that are not typically available in the stables or given as a mission reward will revert to a bay when saved as your own. There is currently no way around this, if you wish to save a specific coat from an ambient horse you will need to download the individual file for said horse and replace a different horse with the coat you want - On very rare occasions, a man will be seen brushing the air. This can be fixed by removing the ambientpedmodelsets file, though foals will no longer spawn and non-wild horses will appear in the wild. - Clay Davies will occasionally mention the breed of the horse you sell to him. - You cannot lock onto or lasso foals. - The final horseman challenge cannot be completed if you have the ambientpedmodelsets installed. This can be fixed using an optional file for the mod provided by lexo1000. - This is significantly larger than any other mod I've made so there's bound to be some errors, if you find any: let me know. Do try to make sure that you are able to replicate any bugs you find and ensure that it isn't due to another mod, otherwise, I appreciate any constructive feedback. Fixed Vanilla Bugs: -Every single enemy horse in certain random encounters and missions like "Advertising, the New American Art" and Black Belle's used the placeholder Flaxen Chestnut Morgan, resulting in there being about ~20 in these missions total. This mod fixes this by making them random -Sheaths now properly connect into the horse model in nearly all circumstances -Fixed a vanilla bug with "We Loved Once and True II" where a random placeholder horse would appear in the background -Fixed a bug where Trelawny would use a rope bridle in "Friends in Very Low Places" -Fixed an issue where Eagle Flies and Rains Fall would ride Tobiano paints in the intro to "My Last Boy", instead of their own horses -Gave materials and normals, as well as correct UV mapping to saddles that did not previously have them Version History Please navigate to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zpfoBwBfq3mXSgO1kDXMU2YaVgO6xEL2f4F02e9tN7k/edit?usp=sharing for a full and updated version history for the mod. These Mods are REQUIRED in order for this to work: - Scripthook RDR2 (Latest version) - Lenny's Mod Loader (Latest version) - Version.dll, or an Online Content Unlocker (Latest version) - It's not required, but I heavily recommend Horse Eye Draw Distance Fix and Equine Texture Improvements!
