RDR2 Mods Discussion

Hi fellow red dead enthusiasts, I´m hoping someone can help me. I know this is an extremely amateur question so please be gentle. First time trying to mod game files. I´m searching through RD game files with OpenIV and seeing alot of files in the format such as 0x82DCEEA0. Is there any way to find out what exactly these represent? Many thanks

hello, I cant find the folder for stream in the LML subfolder, there is nothing there, do I have to create this folder when I first install the mod or is there an issue with my install ? I am only trying to install vest and knife holster replacers but have no folder to put the replacers in. thank you for your work

im following a guide from the player physique mod on nexus which explains how to edit a characters body. in my case im trying to make my arthur fat like in this video in C++ with masterexpressions.cpp open i can see the one i want to edit callled {49787, "PEDEXPRESS_BELLY_DEPTH"} but there is no value to edit thats the problem it mentions i need to change a 0.0000 value in there but its not showing any values next to it. Is there any easier way to make arthur look like in the video rather than C++ editing?

My vanilla game runs fine with no stuttering, but when I have LML installed my game has stuttering all the time. I also tried this with no mods, just lml and it's the same. I even downgraded my graphics to low. Still stuttering no matter what I do. Any solutions????

Is there any mod or solution to fix the saved custom outfit disappearing bug? I try to use the wardrobe function in Rampage but the outfit doesnt save after cutscene. Please let me know if you guys know any fix or mod, thank you!

I´ve instaled all filles needet but when i open mod manager it says insufficient accession LML folder. Try launching it as administrator. But I am allready administrator. Can anyone help please?

I think it'd be neat if someone could make a young john marston mod, like the Y.C.A. mod (Young Clean Arthur). I wish I could do it myself, but it's way too difficult

I am adding an NPC with a guitar playing scenario with the Rampage trainer. I don't want to deal with the guitar playing NPC again when I enter the game again, how can I run it with spooner? (Without canceling the animation)

Hi! I want to learn how to make mods for rdr2, the thing is every tutorial I've seen doesn't go very in-depth/is years old, and doesn't apply anymore. I already know C++ and know about rdr2 native db, but I don't know how to use my scripts to launch a cutscene for example, or trigger dialogue, or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When I try to save a ytd file with the above-mentioned dds file, ToolKit gives an error saying that this dds file is supposedly not a dds file. Are there any ways to solve this problem?

I looked in catalog_sp.ymt but anything with "DESC_" is surrounded by hashes, where are the descriptions stored in readable text form? Can I change them and How is that achieved? Thx in advance

Does anything like this exist? And if not would it be easy to create? Sadly i am not deep into rdr2 modding but it sounds like it shouldnt be imposible to give npcs a chance to pull out a lantern if the light level is too dark? I know many people who lower their brightness or even install darker night to have dark nights. But no npcs using lanterns breaks the dark night immersion a little bit.

it would be very cool to make a mod where Arthur's TB while he's smoking actually kicks in. yk what i mean like, make him cough blood sometimes when he smokes and cough more. and if he smokes like 5-10 cigarettes he coughs and faints, it would be a very cool mod. not especially realistic but why not.

Seems only to work on converting ytd files when they're quite small in storage size? But sometimes on small files, it still doesnt work... Any suggestions?

Briefly, the awc files exported from OpenIV are all encrypted. Open IV itself offers no decryping services at all. I've been trying to create an audio mod, however when using Westerner's audio tool from Nexusmods (RDR2 Audio Tool at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com), an critical error repeats itself when I try to open directly exported .awc files through OpenIV, suggesting that the files are totally encrypted. The strange thing is, as I open awc replicas from other mods, it succeeds. Anyone has ideas about decrypting audio awc files?

i literaly tried everything every version of asi loader, dinput8.dll and without it lml doesn't detect game pls help

This would be a mod that fixes the quickdraw while playing in mouse and keyboard on pc. When playing in console, you can just press the fire button while your gun is hostered to quickly quickdraw without having to unhoster your weapon or aim at peds, in pc you need to improvise and while focusing in a ped with RMB, quickly press LMB and stop pressing RMB, then tapping again LMB, which is not pratical. This mod would possibilitate to simply quickdraw your gun (without using deadeye) by tapping LMB one or two times, which would probably make impossible to punch using LMB, but giving a good and pratical tool to firefights.
