RDR2 Mods Discussion

Hi, as the title said, I am currently looking for a hashes list of consumables/provisions, I do found 2 lists provided by the Rampage mod community, but a lot of the item in the Consumable list is either missing or haven't been updated, which give me quite a trouble for me to try adding them into my game. Thank you very much!

I was trying to load RDR2 today so I could see if the mods I installed today were working and didn't completely break my game, and when I started the game on Steam it loaded for a while, then a pop-up saying "Unknown error FFFFFF" came up. Is there any fix for this? (attached is my Vortex load order and my lml folder)

Just started playing red dead online, was looking at starting to use a mod table. im looking for some ground rule so i dont get banned, i have heard no more then 50 chests. Is that just chests of gold or of anything? is there a limit to how much money you can get per day? if there are anymore that limit you chance of being banned please let me know

Hi all, maybe a silly question because I don't see it asked anywhere else, but can any more experienced modders recommend a safe download site for OpenIV? I wanna experiment with file editing and stuff but the download link on GTA5-Mods.com is broken, and everything else looks kinda shady.

Hello, I'm looking for the ingame map file in OpenIV cant seem to locate it, i see the loading screen jpegs for the loading of the game but not the map itself. Is the map ingame a jpg image that we can scroll around and interact with or is it another type of file? What im looking to do is i need a high quality map that i can update and add icons too for my mod bandit hideouts mod as currently what im using when you scroll in to look at a hideout location the mark on the map becomes all blurry. Any suggestions on a better way to do this?

The 1st person camera in RDR2 is awful. I already use some mods that bring the 3rd person camera close to Arthur, and it ends up being much more immersive than using the 1st person camera. But I also often change the distance of the third-person view, and it's extremely annoying to switch to 1st person in the middle of that. It would be awesome to be able to go back and forth with the 3rd person camera without going through the 1st person, just like when you disable the 1st person on horseback and vehicles. Anyone knows how to achieve that?

Is there anyway possible to make a mod like the Micahs Redemption mod, where you can play as dutch? so Arthur and Dutch are swapped?

This would be a mod that fixes the quickdraw while playing in mouse and keyboard on pc. When playing in console, you can just press the fire button while your gun is hostered to quickly quickdraw without having to unhoster your weapon or aim at peds, in pc you need to improvise and while focusing in a ped with RMB, quickly press LMB and stop pressing RMB, then tapping again LMB, which is not pratical. This mod would possibilitate to simply quickdraw your gun (without using deadeye) by tapping LMB one or two times, which would probably make impossible to punch using LMB, but giving a good and pratical tool to firefights.

I would like to see a mod that would allow John Marston to find and kill Dutch. Dutch turned his back on Arthur at the Heartlands Oil Field and I haven't forgiven him for that. Arthur could've easily killed Micah without Dutch's help, so that did not earn him REDEMPTION in my eyes. Arthur could've gotten them both. The only thing that saved Dutch was the Rockstar script. Obviously, the main prerequisite would be that it would be after the last mention of Dutch in the game. Perhaps sometime after John visits Arthur's grave he receives an anonymous letter in the mail with information about Dutch's whereabouts to kick it off... I don't know much about…

I have made some mods for rdr2, so I am familiar with the basics.However, I really want to know how to make a prompt "bound" to a certain object group. Like it was done in the Hunting Wagon mod (link below), by making the "Hunting Wagon" prompt appear when you approached a campfire. I know how to create prompts and how to place them on certain coordinates, but I have no idea how to make them appear when you get near a player created campfire.

I'm trying to add a function to a mod that would benefit a lot if the player was able to open jail cell's in sheriff bureaus. Anyone know how this can be done?

A simple gameplay mod request to disable the automatic jump. For the love of God is this f***ing annoying! When you walk up to something (and i mainly play in first person) and want to pick up something, either when looting, or grabbing something from a table or some object, and your character when close to something depending on its height like a crate, automatically jumps on top of it 😣 It breaks the immersion, imo and i think many can agree is if your not choosing to climb or choose to jump on something when you press the corresponding keys then imo there should be no movement or actions to do so most especially somethi…

So my idea is to make a sound change for the weapons from RDR2. I'm a big fan of the Cattleman just by the way it looks, but i would look to make it sound like the Schofield or Navy revolver. I have OpenIV for RDR2 but it is limited in changing things. The idea would be for revolvers only: Cattleman sounds like Schofield or Navy Revolver Schofield sounds like LeMat or Navy Revolver Double Action sounds stay or like the Cattleman Does anyone know if or how to change the gun sounds?

I would love a mod that lets you trim Arthur's hair at the shaving kit in camp. Or maybe even just shave head option somehow? I could not find anything like this - if it does exist maybe someone can link it up? Thanks.

I've only been playing single player since I got the game and have 5 or 6 mods installed for it. I have a friend who wants to play online and I just wanna make sure, will having those mods installed get me banned? I remember seeing somewhere that LML will automatically deactivate any mods when launching online, but for example the Rampage Trainer seems to still work even when I disable it in the mod manager. Should I uninstall it before launching online? I've already gotten a warning about unofficial game files detected while using the Rockstar launcher.

hello looking for Game file that changes Friction of dead bodies. tried (materials.meta) its not changing Friction of dead bodies. tried (physicstasks.ymt) it change some ragdoll friction but bot dead bodies it self. please help. i want bodies slide on any surface. like Friction 0.0.

Hello Everyone, (TL;DR read the red parts and it should give the jist) I'm sure y'all have heard this issue plenty of times but for god sakes I can't get any mods that require a .ymt or .ytd file(s) to work. I understand I am supposed to put a folder named "stream" into my lml folder but for whatever reason not a single one is working. I have most asi mods in the directory working, most lml manager mods working but not all, but the stream mods? Maybe one works I think. This isn't my only issue but it is a primary one. Such as I can't these mods to work for whatever reason either; Red Dead Offline, Eastern's Epic Extra's, and Crime and Law…

I was modding rdr2 with help from this site and people here last year and i used to be able to find and rip the voice lines but i cant seem to find them in openiv anymore, maybe i forgot how does anyone know where can i find the voice lines?

So I've been wondering ever since I heard that RDR2 is coming out on pc, "is there going to be more than just graphical mods?" Along those lines, but you have to think on what could be added really. GTAIV/V was a staple for video game modding, and i hope to see RDR2 follow in those footsteps. So... What kind of mods would you like to see in the future from the awesome developers?
