    One of the examples that comes with Lenny's mod loader shows you how to replace an awc file. You just have to find the file's location and names with OpenIV.

    Search for WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf. If I remember correctly each weapon has their own awc file with their gunshot sounds so swapping them might actually work.

    💯For crossed99! I found the awc files within WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf copied them to a new folder. Now I will need to find out what code/string I need to use.

    I have a install.xml with:

    Quote

    <Resources>
            <Resource>
                <DataFile>strings.gxt2</DataFile>
            </Resource>
            <Resource>
                <FileReplacement>
                    <GamePath>audio:/x64/audio/sfx/WEAPONS_PLAYER/REV_CATTLEMAN_FINAL.awc</GamePath>
                    <FilePath>audio/REV_SCHOFIELD_FINA.awc</FilePath>
                </FileReplacement>

    But this does nothing... so far.

    Either way thanks for helping!!!

  2. So my idea is to make a sound change for the weapons from RDR2. I'm a big fan of the Cattleman just by the way it looks, but i would look to make it sound like the Schofield or Navy revolver.

    I have OpenIV for RDR2 but it is limited in changing things.

    The idea would be for revolvers only:

    • Cattleman sounds like Schofield or Navy Revolver
    • Schofield sounds like LeMat or Navy Revolver
    • Double Action sounds stay or like the Cattleman

    Does anyone know if or how to change the gun sounds?

  3. Homesteader mod, with trading, crafting, and building your own "homestead". Also a marriage/relationship mod to live in your homestead. Recruit-able gangmembers to defend and/or raid other towns and homes. And more outlaws roaming the world, incl. robing banks, duels, bar-fights, shootouts etc.

    Just spitballing here... too much shine 🤪

    So this is enabling scripthook to work again and the mods work as before correct?

    Would that mean the native trainer that comes with script hook rdr2 would work again? as when i tried using it after

    the update my game would freeze and i had to force quit.

    I don't use native trainer, Rampage and/or Lenny's Trainer will work just fine. If you used native trainer and it freezed/crashed than delete it and use Rampage or Lenny's trainer.

  5. Yeehaa for Tacitus Kilgore for helping, thanks brother! Just do as he describes, step by step and it will work (did for me).

    1. Download Outfit changer (newest version)
    2. copy all content from zip into main RDR directory (overwrite if needed)
    3. Download RDR2 ASI Loader (newest version)
    4. copy content from zip into main RDR directory and overwrite version.dll
    5. IMPORTANT! Delete dinput8.dll and leave Scripthookrdr2.dll in your main RDR directory!

    THANKS AGAIN Mr. Kilgore!

    Concept
    The main concept is that compiled script plugins depend only on ScriptHookRDR2.dll, so when the game updates the only thing that user must do in order to make scripts working again is to update script hook runtime (i.e. ScriptHookRDR2.dll).

    A good idea is to make a video or text (with pics) tutorial on how to UPDATE the scripthookrdr2.dll our-self. Did some testing with a HEX-editor and with Win Visual Studios, but to no avail.

    You can open, and edit the scripthookRDR2.dll with https://hexed.it/
