    Did you move all files to the RDR2 directory?

    Did you install AB Scripthook? Do you have latest asi loader (dinput8.dll)?

    Something you can try is dont interact with the trapper and get away from his area so he doesn't respond to you.

    Then create a new save on an empty slot, then remove the mod and then reload the game onto that new save, you can

    also try to clear your Rockstar launcher cache and see if that changes anything.

    It has been updated 34 times since it released in May 2023 and there is an update in fact coming

    Monday March 31st which will be v1.35 aka the 35th update.

    Hi, thanks for that insight, considering our mod Bandit Hideouts is a standalone version of all the bandit features of AMJM Transport

    mod here, i had looked in the solution and actually found this name in the peds.h script:

    "A_C_Horse_Thoroughbred_BlackChestnut",

     

    How did you determine that this horse is corrupting your save?

    I will send crossed an email about this as we communicate through email very regularly for bandit hideouts mod.

    Hi, sorry for the late reply dont come here that often, i'm always on the Nexus.

    As for your question mod spawns bandits its not adding new content of any kind, as im sure you may know Bandit Hideouts is

    the standalone version of all the bandit features of AMJM Transport.

       So all of AMJM code for wagons and other features it has in BH has been disabled in the code, about the only thing i can think

    of that could be related to anything with horses is the hired gunmen feature in the mod.

     

    There is an option (setting) for hired gunmen to spawn their own horses, but thats just to have a horse to ride, the only issue in the mod

    that creates is at random it may happen once out of 3 or five times the game will crash if the hired gunmen do spawn their own horses.

        If the setting is disabled then theres no issues, so there might be a possibility that what your pointing out is related to the type of

    horse being spawned. I would need to ask crossed about this and see if maybe he knows in the code if there is horse types defined

    that could be creating the issue.

     

    On another note looking through the solution of the mod using the word horse and after seeing your other post on the AMJM mod comments

    about the RDO horse i found this name to be among the list of horses:

    "A_C_Horse_Thoroughbred_BlackChestnut",

    this was in the peds.h list.

    Attention!

    Some players are getting issues with the new update and there are a couple reasons for that

    so you need to do the following before you update from v1.30 or any earlier version to v1.31

     

    What you need to do is the following:
    1. Delete your Bandit_Hideouts.dat file
    2. Delete your Bandit_Hideouts_Translation.dat file if your using one and get a new copy as all the language files have been updated.
    3. Once ingame create a new save on an empty slot and load that save.
    4. Replace your ini with the latest as many things, and alot of new settings have been added to it.

     

    Any questions or problems please ask, dont assume, ask. Crossed and i been working on the

    v1.31 update since late August and i had no issues with the mod working prior to release of v1.31

    so if your getting issues do the above as suggested and then any questions just ask.

    If you remove all the files of the mod which are these:

    Bandit_Hideouts.asi

    Bandit_Hideouts.ini

    Bandit_Hideouts.dat

    Bandit_Hideouts_CustomPeds.txt

     

    From your RDR2 directory, their shouldn't be anything showing up in your game at all.

    I would suggest after removing those files, create a new save on an empty slot, clear your steam and rockstar launcher cache.

     

    Is there a reason your uninstalling the mod, issues with to many bandits, or bandits interfering with the story perhaps?

    Language Translation for the hired guns menu at saloons

    Just want to point out for those who dont speak/read English that there is translation file you can

    get on the nexus version of the mod in the file section.

     

    Its one file its titled Hired_Guns_Translation.dat

    just put that into your RDR2 directory, and be sure to choose the zip for your language.

    If the mission is in a town then you have to disable this setting:

    DONT_FIGHT_IN_TOWN=1 change that to 0, outside towns if they go away then idk, i'll have to ask crossed about it.

    But is the mission your doing in a town?

    A very late reply to this point which somehow i missed last year but maybe it can help someone currently.

    To answer this, if your hired gun is down, you can revive them but you need to crouch by their head and wait,

    in about 10 seconds you'll see the prompt and the gunman will be revived.

    Uninstall the mod, create a new save on an empty slot, clear your steam and rockstar launcher cache,

    and make sure you have the official scripthook installed. Reinstall the mod, try again and press F7 to bring up the menu.

       If your playing AMJM for the wagons and some other related features fine, but if your playing it for the bandit

    features then best you just use Bandit Hideouts mod which is an exact copy of AMJM but a standalone, and super upgraded version

    of all the bandits features, hired gunmen and many more aspects dealing with bandits.

    As to help, about all i can tell you is to make sure you have latest scripthook and not any other version, or type, also

    create a new save, because it might be possible that loading onto an already used saved that had other mods

    on it are interfering somehow.

      So use a fresh save and load the game onto that, also make sure all files including the ini file are in

    the directory, same place as the RDR2.exe, other then that if that dont work then get a new copy of the .ASI

    sometimes when you download them they are corrupted. Hope that helps and it works for you.

    The mod is enabled by default, make sure you installed the mod correctly.

    All files in the zip other then the readme go into the main directory of the game, same place as the RDR2.exe.

    Theres really nothing for you to do other then adjust whatever settings in the bandit_hideouts.ini all you need to do

    really is come within range of a hideout and bandits will spawn in, that depends where your at in the game, and if

    there is a hideout around the location your at.

         Normally if you haven't changed any settings in the ini you will get a small icon on the lower left of your screen

    when you come near a hideout, also an icon will show on the map for the hideout your near, so if you have that then

    you should see bandits at a hideout.

        Suggest also downloading the map:

    this is just a picture of the RDR2 map with all the hideouts, their names, and what gangs are at those hideouts, that

    This, it would make the game like Skyrim where you can spend an hour creating a character and then experiencing the world,

    i dont like the idea of being a criminal or an outlaw right at the start, i think Rockstar should have given the player an option to play

    the story (campaign) if they wanted to and not be forced to be a certain person, or character, and know certain people based on

    things set in the story, this is why we are modding it so we can enjoy this western world with its many details.

    No update to the mod, still v1.18 someone reported on the Nexus mod page that the zip format was corrupt

    and they couldn't extract it, so i tested it myself a few times and got the same result, i had reuploaded

    the files in a new zip format and that fixed it, did it here too. v1.19 coming tomorrow. Cheers!

    That depends on your computer, i use DX12 myself and have no issues, run everything maxed, and can play 8-12+hrs

    without a twinkle, lol idk try either or, if it performs better on Vulcan then use it, and vice versa.
