i had same issue train passengers disappeared boats doesn't spawn etc. and started new game, played with same mods and didn't have any issue in mynew game everything was regular until finished A Short Walk in a Pretty Town mission i dont think it s about mods textures- 765 replies

Hiya there just wanted to ask I've followed installation guides to the T got script hook and everything but when I load rdr2 the mod loader just sits there just not seeing the game open not sure if anyone else is having this problem would be grateful for any help- 777 comments

I might be able to help if you're still wanting to try modding. I just spent about 8 hours over the last week or so JUST learning about mods, which work with what other ones, which aren't necessary, which ones are royally effed. You're right, the latest vids seem to be missing some steps and crucial info. I was stuck trying to mod for the first 4 hours without ScriptHook. LITERALLY NO "Getting Started" VIDEO TALKS ABOUT IT. Then Scripthook doesn't even talk about how its Native Trainer will stomp over Lenny's Simple Trainer, blagh it's a mess. I'd just start over. Uninstall game, and delete its folder, too. That should solve your double-mod problem. I have cloud saves enabled so I was good with saves, if you don't have that you should be able to grab your save file and keep it in a temporary spot elsewhere. Download LML first, follow its steps of taking all those .dll files and the lml folder going into the game's Root folder. LML > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/tools/76-lennys-mod-loader-rdr/ Same thing with Lenny's Simple Trainer, take all of its EasyHook and .dlls and such and dump those to the game's Root folder as well, big awkward LennysSimpleTrainer folder included. LST > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/scripts/7-lennys-simple-trainer/ You'll want the ASI Loader file in your game's Root folder too. ASI file > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/tools/9-rdr-2-asi-loader/ Grab ScriptHook, it downloads as a folder with a "Bin" folder inside. We already have the latest ASILoader file and our lst.ini file from Lenny's Simple Trainer, so just grab ScriptHookRDR2.dll and drop that to game's Root folder. Scripthook > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/scripts/355-script-hook-rdr-2-link/ Incidentally, you should update that lst.ini file (it came with Lenny's Simple Trainer) in your game's Root folder with this version here; It's like a bazillion times better: LST.INI > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/other/39-istini-for-lennys-simple-trainer-all-itemspedsweapons/ and FINALLY, now you can use LML mods to your heart's content, like the ones with the easy-peasy "Download with LML" option. Try PDO for starters: PDO > https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/scripts/42-ped-damage-overhaul/ I can confirm at this time that "Improvements in Blood" and "Super Ultimate Horse Mod" crashed my game consistently, I'd ignore for now unless you want to figure them out. I opened this planning to read through the thread so I didn't make a super redundant question, but upon seeing it was 30 pages long, I decided I wasn't saying much anyway, so I'll just say it. Just a warning, I do not have valuable input or knowledge on this. feel free to skip past. I'm honestly just asking a question. I know it's hard to know which mods do this or do it most, and that it seems to be mostly texture overhauls. But I've seen a lot about whyem's mods, does that include the dlc? I don't have any texture mods installed, though I found this thread because I was thinking of installing one but knew my pc was nothing special so wanted to know if and which mods looked the best and/or ran the best. I don't think I've noticed big changes and I have quite a handful of mods installed. Most are simple asi mods that take up no room, but I do have a number of mods that are more. Online content unlocker and whyems dlc in particular. Tbh, it's been a while since I played the vanilla game, and I installed the mods as I was starting a new game. I tested each one as I installed it, but that's not very thorough. Anyway, I've seen talk about these bugs sometimes being non reversible, so I wanna know if there are texture or graphical overhaul mods that don't challenge the game enough to make this a huge issue. I'm looking for some clarification on this mod. It seems to just be a Reshade preset, a few launch commands, and a recommendation to add multiple 2k-4k texture mods, but the wording in the mod description implies it does much more than that. The author claims that installing everything will actually improve performance, not lower it, but I've never heard of Reshade improving performance, let alone texture packs lowering VRAM. He says in some of the mod comments that using the recommended texture packs will lower VRAM usage, which seems very counterintuitive to me. When I add the required, and optional, texture packs, I see up to 10gb's of VRAM being used with my RTX4070 mobile, but he claims it never goes above 5gb on his GTX1060. He doesn't recommend any ASI loader dlls, but that was the only way I could get LML to recognize the new textures. Am I missing something here? Followed the video to a "T". Downloaded the script thing for the mod per mod instructions. Mod not showing up in my game. I have been trying to get a mod to work in my game off and on all day. Not only that but in mod manager the mod is now showing up twice. Or the mod manager will not open. This stinks. I really wanted to try a mod in RDR 2 but because of how complicated it has to be guess I am out on trying mods.- 777 comments

I try to put on Red Dead Offline clothing, such as the Webster Gun Belt, but on Arthur it doesn't show and the choices of texture/color are all weird and static looking. I have LITE Multiplayer Asset Enabler and Outfit Changer minus the version.dll, easyhook.dll and simplehook.dll as i have dinput and scripthook. help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me! I was able to turn Arthur's unique Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walking Horse into Red Dead On-line's Breton (Grullo Dun for now)! Edit No. 1 - A couple of questions: I never found an original metapeds.ymt in any of my folders. So I used a metapeds.ymt that came from another download/mod (not actually using that mod at all) and so far there has not been any issues. This "hijacked" metapeds.ymt is 11mb which I guess is understandable as the parent mod was an "overhaul". Is there an unedited metapeds.ymt I could use? I checked https://forum.cfx.re/ (I feel like something I'm asking for is in there, but I it's way too advanced for me and have no idea where to look) I tried making my own smaller metapeds.ymt as I am just changing a tiny part, by just taking the text for the Tennessee Mahogany Bay and altering the <AnimalAudioObject> got stuck on a loading sceen. I am assuming for a "metapeds.ymt" I'm going to need the whole lot If I download a mod which also contains its own metapeds.ymt, will I have problems with multiple metapeds.ymt? I've heard the phrase "merge metapeds.ymt", is this what I will need to learn to do in order not to create conflicts in my game? Edit No. 2 - I made a thing and compared to the metapeds.ymt is only 6.56kb (I know just tweaking metapeds.ymt and the little install.xml I made works, but I'm really curious and honestly having fun!) So, I tried to make my own little .ymt for lml (see attached Breton.zip file) which contains: That's Mah Gurl!.png Horse Voice install.xml metapeds_voice.ymt (I named it as such from your mod containing foals!) The game loads, the "Breton - Grullo Dun" loads but sounds like a regular horse. Have I done something wrong or do I need the entire metapeds.ymt to make a horse of my choosing sound like the Ardennes? Again, thank you so much for your time! Interstella Breton.zip

So i installed RPH for rdr2 and it says it cant find the bootstrapper and i asked ChatGPT and its not given in the RDRFR download file and ChatGPT says it needs it to boot? Any one got the file or a fix for me? im running on version 1.0.1491.50 (Latest)

Don't have any other mods dealing with the blood but it still causes loading screen freeze. Maybe it's the PDO of Euphoria, but if i have to chose i'm sacrificing this mod and not those two
I know this is a teeny-tiny bit late, but still, for future generations i guess - there is an option in the consig to enable/disable the mod for story missions, probably it's tuend off for you. Mine DEFINATELY works in story, i died 5 times in the first big O'Driscols shootout, the one where you get train plans. I kept dying before i realised that this mod has actually made tonic NOT USELESS finally. Previously you could just melee 15 people with no tonics and just full health, now you actually do take damage and it's fucking awesome- 1,269 comments

You can't change the text "Riding" to "Race" or the coat color because this is set via a script, and we can't edit scripts. You CAN replace the text itself through a strings file, but doing so will affect every single horse that also uses that same text (i.e if you change the text "Arabian" you will be changing the text for every single Arabian). For the voice, you'll need a Metapeds.ymt file and from there you can navigate to the <AnimalAudioObject> for the Ardennes and from there you can copy that section from the Ardennes over to whatever horse you're looking to change.
