I've used the trainer for about 40 hours of my 68 overall to give myself weapons, money, teleport and spawn the odd animal for the satchels like yourself (only 2 though) and I've not had a single problem with it either crashing my game or corrupting a save, then again I back my saves up every few days. These warnings not to save when using trainers are just caution and don't mean they will actually break shit. Best thing to do is backup your saves as often as possible just incase. Although I will say the teleport to waypoint feature hasn't worked for a few days whereas it worked perfectly before but maybe that's just me.
