Was there ever a "Save"-prompt in hotel rooms?

I have loaded an old save with quite a few mods and run into two oddities:

1. In hotel rooms, there is no "Save" prompt when close to the bed - was there ever one? (I am not sure anymore^^)

2. Changed clothes don't seem to save. I change my clothes in the hotel room, go play some poker, save the game and quit. Upon loading my savegame I have the same clothes I used to wear before the hotel room change, but my poker gains are there. Is there a certain mod that would cause that?
