RDR2 General Discussion

I hope that this isn't the wrong sub-forum, but I'm having an issue with the game that's driving me nuts. I can run the game at a good frame rate, but in certain areas (mainly Saint Denis) I get really noticeable hitching/stutter. This occurs when RAM usage hits around 10GB or so, at which point the game then dumps about half a gig of ram and the game stutters/hitches quite badly. Given that I have 32gb of RAM, does anyone know a way to allocate more RAM to the game and/or stop it dumping RAM when reaching 10GB usage? Perhaps a file that can be edited or something? In game settings and launch commands make no difference by the way. As people always want specs..... …

Infinite health for you and your horse, infinite dead eye, infinite horse stamina and infinite ammo? That works with the current version of the offline game? All the trainers broke when they released the DLSS update and I thought they would get updated but as far as I could tell they weren't.. It's just the couple things that I really need but I don't mind if the trainer or mod has more functions included either. Thanks in advance.

Blurry and low-res bushes on the right half of the screenshot, whilst the bushes that're further away from me on the left half of the screen are high quality. This also affects trees, sadly. On the boulder just over the shadow line, the textures are noticeably low-res, the boulder on the left of the screenshot also has the same low-res quality, but when I move forward just a little bit, the textures on that boulder suddenly pop-in and become high-res. Look at how broad of a difference in resolution and detail there is between the center of this plateau, and the top of it. I know that the launcher cannot connect to the rockstar servers, but I cant even play offline. Infinite loading screen is what I get when Im trying to play story mode. Has anyone managed to get the game running?

Hi folks I'm having this really weird issue that is confusing the hell out of me. Whenever I use my keyboard, fe the WASD keys, as soon as I take my finger off I will continue to move for a good 5-10 seconds. In this time I cannot interrupt the last action of the keys, so if I press w for a few seconds, then I press esc, I will have to wait roughly 10 seconds before the menu pops up. Completely unplayable. Everything works completely fine when plugging in a controller though! I was hoping to play with my keyboard though as I'm shite with controllers. Anyone come across a similar issue here? no other games are effected so it isn't a malfunctioning keyboard.…

Does anyone knows if I can bind a key to turn on/off a menu setting ? , in this case I would like to bind the option of turning the aim reticle on/off.

I want to learn how to make mods for RDR2 but can only find a few tutorials or posts. Would anyone happen to know where I could find information on how to get started. I know some Visual Basic and am working on translating my skills to C#. Thanks in advance. My idea for a mod: My first mod would be a fix to an error that occurs when dying as an animal, I would call it NoFish. When you die ( only have done this as a fish ) as animal the game softlocks and I cannot use the cheat menu to change my model. This error causes me to lose all current inventory items and weapons. Hi all Today, Aug 22, 21, I spent many hours trying to find out why my game was crashing. The Rockstar 'Ad' message was loading twice, but so was the game. They want us to sign in to our Amazon Prime Accounts to Link to our Rockstar accounts. They want to sell the Online version on Amazon, and so to with their other games. I do not play Online ever. Loading multiple copies uses double memory. Using Task Manager, I found that when I unload one launcher, it simply loads more. I've had four copies of the launcher loaded at once! Amazon chat said contact Rockstar. I put in a bug report.

as the title implies, is it possible to remove the player characters hair physics(without breaking the model) either Arthur or John. In game I find the slightest bit of wind gives the hair physics an overexaggerated waviness, bugs the hell outta me. trainers are a good way to make the wind disappear but even moving around, especially with the length 7 fade haircuts has a really annoying effect on em when you move.id like it to be just a static thing that sits on my head, much like lego hair or something

Does anyone know if there is a way I can launch RDR2 without internet connection? I bought this game on steam for an upcoming deployment and realized it could not launch due to the verification process. I know GTA V has the same issue but the No_GTAVLauncher mod works fine to bypass it. Does RDR2 have something similar?

Hi there, I'm looking into editing some of the interiors, such as the Armadillo Bank, but I noticed when attempting to stream files such as .YTYP and .YMAP from Lenny's Mod Loader (using plain text as there are currently no tools to support PSO encoding yet), the game completely crashes. I was wondering if it would be possible to support these file types in the future? It would be super helpful! Thanks so much.

Are there seasons in the game? There is snow, but are there time-based seasons? This would be a great mod. It should be player regulated so that seasons won't last forever or end quickly. Existing mods already let you alter the weather, we just need it automated. Please.

Is there a way to bypass locked doors in RDR2 story mode? Such as Six Point Cabin, Compson's Stead etc.

Hi! I just had a question of how you can make everyone ignore you in red dead redemption. I have seen it multiple times with rdr2 online but i don't have online so i was wondering if you could do that with the normal game. I would just like to role play without getting a bounty or anything. Anne

So I'd like to know if by any chances, we can have the gang members weapons, for example : Have Javier's Double Action Revolver, Sadie Adler's Cattleman Revolver etc... Maybe by getting the hashes of the guns or something like that. I don't think the guns are dedicated to the ped model because i tried to change my ped model to Javier, tried to spawn his revolver but nothing. And i don't have any clue now of how we could get the guns ( if we can of course). Thanks for reading thru ! If you have an answer please do not hesitate and post it !

Hey folks ! 😎 What do you guys think about recent speculations on gtaforum ? Someone just found newly added flags on game files with last update, flags which says "dirmode". Could that be it guys ? I hope so, for me it's the only missing feature in RDR2. But on the other hand i know Rockstar don't give a shit on anything that isn't related to RDO, so yeah.. what do you think guys ? Can we expect Director Mode in future updates ?

Found this while going through components and even spawned it on an MP ped to look at it, however I'm curious as to what or when its ever used on RDR Online? I've not seen a single mention of the badge nor company so I'm really curious what the Special Agent badge is for, or what "Special Agents" for a stagecoach company are even meant to be. Ok so because of the mod i am creating i am trying to find out what is the program that rdr2 uses for 3D models,animations,the map layout and a bunch of other stuff. And can i port 3D models from other games and 3D modeling soft wear like sketch fab and blender? I recently found this program OpenIV which is apparently a way to get into the get into the game files.And mess about with them. But I have also heard that you can't really edit them is this true? Hello, I was just wondering if anyone would be able to suggest any mods that would give the same capabilities as Menyoo used too on GTA5.
